Kristin Fisher joined CNN on 20 July 2021 as Space and Defense Correspondent. As a Space and Defense Correspondent, Kristin Fisher covers all aspects of space including NASA to the newly created Space Force as well as commercial space businesses as well as space tourism. Kristin's parents were both NASA astronauts. Kristin spent her childhood in space, and she has since been a White House reporter for FOX News that covers the Trump and Biden Administrations on space issues. In her tenure, she reported on the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the pandemic coronavirus, in addition to two distinct administrations' efforts. Kristin was on the road extensively, including both the vice president and president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Before becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin used her experience in front of the camera to launch Field Mouse Films. The company specialized in producing documentary-style films. It was also a favourite of corporate clients like Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin earned a bachelors in Science in Journalism from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
